The biggest difference from 2004 is that the expectation of high power has risen by 15% for both users and manufacturers. 2.4 the frequency converter service market will further exceed the value

3. Energy saving market analysis of frequency converter

3.1 energy saving is one of the important fields and potential markets of frequency converter

energy saving of motor system is one of the ten key energy saving projects launched by the national development and Reform Commission. Combined with the power saving potential brought by the motor with speed regulation transformation to improve the process flow, the total power saving potential is about 50billion kwh, equivalent to the annual power generation of a thermal power plant with an installed capacity of 10000 MW. It can be seen that the energy conservation of motor system is the field with the most commercial potential in China's energy conservation market at present

3.2 energy saving and energy feedback

the adoption of variable frequency speed regulation technology is an important way to save energy and reduce consumption, improve control performance, and improve product output and quality. It has achieved good application results and remarkable economic benefits in application. We know that there are two important ways to improve efficiency:

the first way is to realize "energy supply on demand" through variable frequency speed regulation technology and its optimal control technology, that is, to minimize the input energy of variable frequency devices on the premise of meeting the speed, torque and dynamic response requirements of production machinery

the second way is to "recover" the electric energy converted from the kinetic energy or potential energy stored in the production machinery to electricity in a timely and efficient manner, that is, the regenerative energy is fed back to the AC through the active inverter device. In this way, it can not only save energy and reduce consumption, but also realize the accurate braking of the electric motor and improve the dynamic performance of the motor

most general-purpose converters are voltage type AC-DC-AC converters. The three-phase AC first gets pulsating DC through the diode uncontrolled rectifier bridge, then passes through the electrolytic capacitor filter to stabilize the voltage, and finally outputs AC with adjustable voltage and frequency through passive inverter to supply power to the motor. This kind of frequency converter is widely used in industry because of its high power factor, high efficiency, high precision and wide speed regulation range. However, the general frequency converter cannot be directly used in the speed regulation system that requires fast starting, braking and frequent forward and reverse rotation, such as high-speed elevator, mine hoist, steel rolling machine, large gantry planer, winding mechanism tension system and machine tool spindle drive system. Because this system requires the motor to operate in four quadrants, when the motor decelerates, brakes or places a load with potential energy, the motor is in the state of regenerative power generation. Since the energy transmission of diode uncontrolled rectifier is irreversible, the generated regenerative electric energy is transmitted to the filter capacitor on the DC side to generate pumping voltage. The fully controlled devices represented by GTR and IGBT have low withstand voltage. Too high pump up voltage may damage the switching devices, electrolytic capacitors, and even the insulation of the motor, thus threatening the safe operation of the system, which limits the application scope of the general frequency converter
